Exit Birch Street and make a Right Turn onto Birch Street at the traffic light. You have to get over to the right pretty quickly. At the 3rd traffic light turn right onto Dove Street. Payment for all Services on the Date of the Consultation, Treatment, and Late Cancellation
All consultation, treatment services, and late cancellations are required to be paid on the same date they are incurred to keep your file up to date.
Courtesy Appointment Reminder System
As a courtesy, we use a reminder system to alert you the evening prior to your appointment. All our patients calendar their appointments and manage their own personal schedules. The reminder system is intended as a secondary reminder for you as a courtesy. We hope our system is helpful in order that you are attending your visits so that you can progress efficiently with our care.
Normal Scheduled Visits
To avoid an oversight, please be mindful that 48-hour notice prior to the appointment time is required Monday to Friday during the hours of 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. In addition, this is a No Exception Policy. Focus On Health does not double or triple-book patients. We treat 1 patient per hour, unlike most clinics in Orange County. These are all reserved appointments that you are holding on the schedule. We like to be good communicators to avoid misunderstandings, therefore, the best approach is to be detailed in how our cancellation policy works. We hope this is helpful as a reference.
The late cancellation fee relates to the type of visit scheduled.:
- A 1-hour follow-up visit has a $175.00 cancellation fee.
- Two-hour visit blocks have a cancellation fee of $350.00.
- 1/2 hour 2-person double block has a $175.00 cancellation fee.
- A 1-hour 2-person double block has a cancellation fee of $350.00.
- Two visits relating to the same family scheduled side by side during the same hour with different therapists or one after the other on the same date has a $350.00 cancellation fee.
Your Appointment is a reserved time that has been blocked off on our schedule for You, so proper notification is required to cancel, consistent with our policies. The policy is applied as stated so as not to discriminate against any patient. The policy applies to all patients no matter the circumstance to be ethical and fair to all patients. We require payments to be made for late cancellations on the same day they occur to avoid misunderstandings. By helping to ensure cancellation payments are made the same day or the next business day if, over a weekend or long weekend, our patients are helping us to keep our rates as low as possible and also stay consistent and fair with all our other patients.
Cancellation Statements are considered a reimbursable fee to the clinic and will remain on the client’s account until paid. If the fee is not paid, like all unpaid client account balances where a client has no intention of paying the balance and has made no attempt to pay the fee when requested, the unpaid portion of the account is sent to collections. We consistently adhere to this policy with all patients to avoid discrimination and favoritism of one patient over another to ensure complete fairness to all.
Monday and Tuesday Visits After a normal Weekend; and Tuesday, and Wednesday Visits After a 3-Day National Holiday Weekend
Cancellations for Tuesday and Wednesday Appointments following a National Holiday need to be made by Thursday at 2:00 pm. Cancellations for Monday and Tuesday Appointments following a Normal 2-day Weekend need to be made by Thursday at 2:00 pm. Cancellations after 2:00 pm on Thursday are subject to a cancellation fee. After-hour cancellations are subject to the cancellation fee.

2-Therapist Visits and 2-Hour Appointment Blocks
Cancellations for 2-Therapist Doubles and 2 to 4-hour time blocks (mini intensives) require 2 weeks advance notice to cancel. Furthermore, if 2 family members are scheduled at the same time with different Therapists this is considered a 2-hour block that requires 2 weeks’ notice to cancel. Also, if 2 family members are scheduled sequentially, in other words, one after the other, this is logged as a 2-hour block that requires 2.5 weeks’ notice to cancel.

Record Copying
All Medical Record Copying Requests
We prefer that a copy service is used to copy medical records as this is a resource-intensive task best done by copy service companies that have the equipment and staff that provide this service with ease. We do not have ample administrative staff to provide copying services.
