Traveling the 405 South

Start your journey by taking the 73 Freeway towards the Toll Road. Then, exit at Campus Drive/Irvine Avenue. As you continue, go through the first traffic light until you reach Birch Street. At that point, turn left onto Birch Street. Next, at the third traffic light, make a right onto Dove Street. Continue for about one block and keep an eye on your right for 1601 Dove Street. When you spot it, turn into the third or fourth driveway entrance on the right side. Finally, head to Suite 210 on the second floor, which you can access via the stairs or the elevator.


Traveling the 405 North

First, take the MacArthur Blvd exit south. Then, turn left onto MacArthur Blvd and keep going until you reach Birch Street, which will be the fourth traffic light. At that point, make a left turn onto Birch Street. Next, continue along Birch Street until you hit the traffic light. When you get there, turn left onto Dove Street. Continue straight for about one block and start looking to your right for 1601 Dove Street. Once you spot it, turn into the third or fourth driveway entrance on the right side. Finally, we are located in Suite 210 on the second floor, which you can access via stairs or the elevator.


Traveling the 55 South

To reach your destination, take the 55 south and proceed to the 73 south. Next, exit at Campus Drive/Irvine Avenue. Payment for all Services on the Date of the Consultation, Treatment, and Late Cancellation

Clients are required to pay for all consultations, treatment services, and any late cancellations on the same day they occur. This ensures that their files remain current and up to date. Therefore, timely payment is essential for maintaining accurate records.


Courtesy Appointment Reminder System

As a courtesy, we utilize a reminder system that alerts you the evening before your appointment. Since all our patients manage their calendars, this system acts as a helpful secondary reminder. We believe that this added support ensures you attend your visits consistently. Thus, you can progress efficiently with our care. 


Normal Scheduled Visits

To prevent an oversight, please remember that you must provide a 48-hour notice before your appointment for Wednesday to Friday slots. Additionally, we have a different cancellation policy for Monday and Tuesday appointments, which I will explain further below. Moreover, Wednesday appointments following a long holiday weekend also have a unique cancellation policy outlined further in this message. Importantly, we uphold a No Exception Policy at Focus On Health. Unlike most clinics, we do not double or triple-book patients; instead, we treat one patient per hour to ensure quality care. Therefore, each appointment you hold on the schedule is reserved specifically for you. We value clear communication to prevent misunderstandings, and we hope this information serves as a helpful reference.

The late cancellation fee relates to the type of visit scheduled if cancelled late:

  • A 1-hour follow-up visit. 
  • Two-hour visit blocks.
  • 1/2 hour 2-Staff double block.
  • A 1-hour 2-Staff double block. 
  • Two visits relating to the same family scheduled side by side during the same hour with different staff or one after the other on the same date.

We reserve your appointment time specifically for you; therefore, you must provide proper notification if you need to cancel, according to our policies. This policy applies to all patients, regardless of the circumstances, to ensure fairness for everyone. Consequently, we ask that patients make payments for late cancellations on the same day the cancellations occur to prevent misunderstandings. By doing this, you not only help us keep our rates low but also support fairness for all our other patients. If you need to cancel over a weekend or holiday, please ensure that the payment is made on the next business day. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.


Tuesday and Wednesday Visits After a 3-Day National Holiday Weekend; and Monday and Tuesday Visits After a Normal Weekend

If you need to cancel appointments for Tuesday and Wednesday after a National Holiday 3-day weekend, make sure to do so by the prior Thursday before 2:00 pm. For Monday and Tuesday appointments after a regular 2-day weekend, you also need to cancel by the prior Thursday before 2:00 pm. Cancellations after 2:00 pm on Thursday are subject to a cancellation fee. After-hour cancellations are subject to the cancellation fee.

We use a No Exception Policy because we specifically reserve your appointment time on our schedule just for you. Therefore, if you need to cancel, it is crucial to provide proper notification according to our policies. This policy applies to all patients, regardless of the circumstances, ensuring fairness across the board. Consequently, we kindly ask that you make payments for late cancellations on the same day they occur to avoid misunderstandings.

Since we are a small company, we cannot extend financial courtesy for late cancellations. By ensuring that cancellation payments are made the same day or the next business day—especially following a weekend or a long weekend—you help us keep our rates as low as possible. Ultimately, this approach helps maintain fairness for all our other patients. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!


2-Staff Double Visits and 2-Hour Appointment Blocks

To cancel a 2-Staff Double or a 2 to 4-hour time block (mini-intensive), you must provide notice at least 2 weeks in advance. If two family members are scheduled at the same time with different Staff, this arrangement counts as a 2-hour block, requiring the same 2 weeks’ notice for cancellation. Moreover, if two family members are scheduled one after the other, we will also log this as a 2-hour block, necessitating 2 weeks’ notice to cancel.

Importantly, we use a No-Exception Policy regarding cancellations. Your appointment represents a reserved time that we have set aside exclusively for you, so we require proper notification to cancel, in line with our policies for this type of appointment. This policy is fair to all patients and equally applies to everyone, regardless of the situation.

Additionally, we require that payments for late cancellations occur on the same day they happen. This helps prevent misunderstandings.
